Chloe opened The Peaky Barbers to bring the traditional British barbershop, and its hospitality, back to the Waterside.
That means taking the time to listen, a cut that suits you rather than the clock, and a shop you actually want to sit in. Regulars come from right across Hythe and Dibden Purlieu, up from Holbury and Fawley, and over from Marchwood. Plenty bring their kids along for a Dads & Lads: 1 adult cut and 1 child cut for £32.
And if she needs a trim too, our ladies’ hairdressers, Shelby & Grays, is in a private room in the same shop.

Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, whenever there’s a chair free, and there’s a games area to wait in. We still recommend booking online so you’re seen at the time you want, especially on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
How much is a skin fade at Peaky Barbers in Hythe?
A scissor cut and fade is £22 (about 45 minutes). Add a beard shape and style for £32.50 all in, or a traditional hot towel shave and fade for £43.
Is there parking?
Yes. There’s a free car park right outside the shop on Hollybank parade, so no hunting for a space or paying for one on Hythe High Street.
Do you cut children’s hair?
We do. Under 12s are £16 for a standard cut or £19 with a fade, two under-12s are £27 together, and our Dads & Lads deal (1 adult cut and 1 child cut, child up to 16) is £32.
Do you offer a pensioner discount?
Our Golden Years cut for over-65s is £12.50, between 9am and 2pm on the weekdays we’re open.
Are you near Dibden Purlieu, Holbury and Fawley?
Yes. Hollybank is about a mile from Dibden Purlieu, and a short drive up the A326 from Holbury and Fawley. See getting here from Dibden Purlieu.
